Aatapi Seva Foundation (“we”, “our”, “us”) built the Asmita app as an internal-use application for its authorized employees (Mobilisers). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the Asmita mobile application.
1. Purpose of the App
Asmita is designed exclusively for Mobilisers of Aatapi Seva Foundation to manage project-related data under foundation programs. The app supports field-level operations such as managing project participants and assigning them to events.
The app is not intended for public use.
2. User Access & Authentication
- There is no public registration in the app.
- User accounts are created and managed by the Admin through an internal admin dashboard.
- Mobilisers receive a username and password from the Admin to access the app.
- Only authorized employees can log in and use the app.
3. Information Collected
a) User (Mobiliser) Information
- Username
- Login credentials (used only for authentication)
b) Project Participant Data
Mobilisers may collect and manage the following information for project participants (women from villages):
- Name or identification details
- Village information
- SHG (Self Help Group) association
- Participation status (active / inactive)
No sensitive personal data such as Aadhaar numbers, bank details, health data, or biometric data is collected through the app.
4. How Information Is Used
The collected information is used strictly for:
- Managing project participants at the village and SHG level
- Assigning and unassigning participants to events
- Monitoring participation under foundation programs
- Supporting internal planning and reporting by Aatapi Seva Foundation
The data is not used for marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes.
5. Events Module
In the Events module:
- Mobilisers select an event, village, and SHG
- Participants are assigned or unassigned to events

6. Data Storage & Security
- Data is stored securely on servers managed by or on behalf of Aatapi Seva Foundation.
- Access to data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
- Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are in place to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or misuse of data.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share user or participant data with third parties.
Data may only be accessed by:
- Authorized administrators

9. Data Retention
- Participant data is retained as long as required for project implementation and reporting.
- Participants may be marked as inactive when they are no longer part of the project, but records may be retained for audit and program history purposes.

- The Asmita app is not intended for use by children.
- Project participants are adult women involved in SHGs and foundation programs.
10. Permissions
The app only requests permissions that are necessary for its core functionality.
No unnecessary device permissions are used.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Aatapi Seva Foundation may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
